Wow! The Drawing Board Journals is a treasure of insights, tips, and a wealth of information on how to illustrate a book. From layouts, to character design, to backgrounds, and everything in between, a seasoned pro or a new student can gain knowledge and a full understanding on how to structure and execute a great book.

What I love most about this book is all the visual references. These illustrations are not only great examples for almost each line text, but are clear and dynamic at the same time. I can’t say enough about how helpful these illustrations are in delivering the educational point across in a fun and charming way. Love them!

I highly recommend this book for all artists. It is not just for book illustrators, but it can be so helpful to storyboard artists, painters, and any artist that illustrates a composition. You too will cherish this book for many years.
